1.The Influenza (Flu) Vaccine
The flu virus changes every year, which is why an annual shot is necessary. For people with lung disease, the flu can quickly turn into pneumonia.

The flu shot contains inactivated (dead) virus. It cannot give you the flu. You may feel a mild ache or low fever, which is just your immune system "training."
For those with Asthma or COPD, even a "mild" virus can trigger a massive inflammatory response in the lungs.
There are many different strains of bacteria that cause pneumonia. Having it once does not make you immune to others.
